Terms & Conditions

 Booking Policy:

  • Our rates are based based on 1 or 2 people per room. All prices include 10% Government Tax and include breakfast for 2 persons unless stated otherwise. 
  • Any incidentals (food, beverage, shopping, extras etc) are payable on departure. In the event that you fail to pay any such incidental charges, your credit card will be charged. 
  • A 50% deposit is required to confirm the reservation. The final balance is due 31 days prior to arrival. 
  • For Stays of 2 nights or less, full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • If a booking is made within 31 days of arrival or for non-refundable reservations, full payment is required within 24 hours of the reservation being made.
  • Please send confirmation to info@melalibingin.com once payment has been made. Upon receiving payment, we will send a confirmation within 1 – 4 working days. 


Payment Options:

  • Payments can be made via Credit Card, Wise, PayPal or Bank Transfer. Please note credit card payments incur a +2.5% surcharge. Any other transfer fees are payable by guest. 
  • For any extras at Melali, preferred payment is Indonesian Rupiah. We also accept all major currencies and Visa and MasterCard payments (+2.5% surcharge).
  • We do not accept Bank Transfers for payments once guests have checked in.


Cancellation Policy:

To cancel or amend a reservation, please contact us in writing at info@melalibingin.com. We do not accept cancellations or amendments over the telephone/sms/whatsapp. If booking a special rate, deal or sale, a different cancellation policy may apply. Please refer to the T&C’s applicable to your reservation thoroughly. If a reservation is made with a third party (travel agent, online booking site etc), please refer to their terms and conditions. We take no responsibility for your booking contract with a third party. 

  1. Standard Rates:
  • Free 1 x Change of Date is available when changed more than 31 days prior to arrival. 
  • Cancellations or amendments received more than 3 months prior to the arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 25% of the total cost of all nights booked.
  • Cancellations or amendments received within 3 months – 31 days prior to the arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the total cost of all nights booked.
  • Cancellations received within 30 days of arrival are subject to a cancellation penalty equal to 100% of the total cost of all nights booked.
  • “No Shows” or early departures are subject to a cancellation penalty equal to 100% of the total cost of all nights booked.
  • No refund will be given for reduction of stay once checked in.
  • Change of date – only one amendment per booking will be accepted free of charge when amended more than 31 days prior to arrival. Where the rate price is less than your original stay, no refunds are provided. If the new stay is at a higher rate, rate difference will apply. Date changes within 30 days of arrival are subject to our cancellation policy. Any reduction of nights are subjected to our cancellation policy.

2. Fully Flexible Rate – Free Cancelation/Free Date Change:

  • Free cancellation when cancelled more than 1 month prior to arrival.
  • Cancellations or amendments received within 30 days prior to the arrival date are subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the total cost of all nights booked.
  • Free 1 x Change of Date is available when changed more than 15 days prior to arrival. 
  • Only one amendment per booking will be accepted free of charge when amended more than 15 days prior to arrival. Where the rate price is less than your original stay, no refunds are provided. If the new stay is at a higher rate, rate difference will apply. Date changes within 14 days of arrival are subject to our cancellation policy. Any reduction of nights are subjected to our cancellation policy. 
  • “No Shows” or early departures are subject to a cancellation penalty equal to 100% of the total cost of all nights booked.
  • No refund will be given for reduction of stay once checked in.

**Travel Insurance: When making a reservation with us we urge all guests to take out a travel insurance policy which covers trip cancellation/trip amendments that will protect you against any losses/charges/costs in the event of having to cancel your stay for any reason. This includes, but is not limited to: illness/injury, family issues, expired passports, job commitments, traffic problems, airline delays, flight  cancellations or a change of heart. We take no responsibility for guests who choose not to take out insurance.


Extenuating Circumstances

In an event of an unpredictable and insurmountable nature (war, riot, earthquake, volcano, hurricane, explosion, pandemic etc) that prevents either guest or property from fulfilling all or part of the obligations set out in the contract. It is expressly agreed that forced circumstances suspends, for the parties, the execution of their reciprocal obligations and that each party shall bear the burden of the resulting costs. If loss of reservation occurs, partial credits may be possible, contact us to discuss options.

COVID-19/Illness: For bookings made on or after 31st May 2022, COVID-19 related illness will no longer be covered under Extenuating Circumstances. If you must cancel due to COVID-19 or other illness, our normal cancellation policy will apply.

General Information

Check in is from 2pm – 9pm
Check out is at 11am

Early Check in (before 2pm): Early arrivals is subject to availability on the day of check in. If an early check in is not possible, you are able to drop off luggage and come back at check in time. Please be aware – due to the very small nature of our property, shared facilities (pool, living area) are not accessible before check in. 

Late Check In (after 9pm): If you are arriving to Melali after 9pm, we require guests to book a transfer through us as our drivers will let you in to the property. 

Late Check Out (after 11am): Later check outs until 11.30 – 1.00pm are subject to room availability at the time of check out. Note – Due to the very small nature of Melali, if you are checking out, you are unable to use the pool/communal area after check out. You are also welcome to store luggage until 2.30pm.

Late Evening Check Out: If you have a late evening flight and wish to stay at Melali for your final day, you will need to book an extra night stay. For Guaranteed Evening check out, advance reservation is recommended. For alternative ideas, check out our tips & recommendations here. 

Special Requests: All requests are strictly subject to room availability at the point of check-in. Priority will be extended to direct bookings.

Children: Due to the small nature of the property, we only accommodate children under the age of 12 when the whole villa is booked exclusively (all three rooms) or during low season times in the pool villa. In this case, please be aware of other guests.

Child Safety: It is guests responsibility to ensure their children are watched and safe at all times. When renting the whole villa or pool villa we URGE guests with children to hire pool fencing to ensure the safely of your little ones. We can arrange this or can recommend a wonderful rental company. When making a reservation guests agree that any injury/accident that may occur at the property during their stay is their own responsibility.

Extra Beds: We do not offer extra beds at Melali. 

Non – Smoking/Non-Vaping:  Smoking & Vaping is strictly not permitted in rooms and all living areas. Smoking is only permitted outside in the garden areas. Should you be found smoking in the room or living areas, we will levy a deep cleaning charge equivalent to at least one night’s accommodation in addition to any accommodation charges.
